Šport je u Hrvatskoj već desetljećima iznimno važan segment društvenog života, ali segment o kome se vrlo rijetko strateški i cjelovito promišlja. Šport inspirira pojedince, utječe na stvaranje zajedništva i dotiče cijelu naciju (osjećamo kolektivni ponos u postignućima naših individualnih športaša i ekipa), bio je i ostaje najbolji medij promocije, koji kontinuirano osigurava prepoznatljivost cijele zemlje.
